Chicago is the blues.
This weekend, the Chicago Blues Festival returns to Millennium Park for four days of free music celebrating the sound that helped shape this city and influenced generations of musicians around the world.
Since 1984, the festival has honored Chicago's deep blues roots and remains the largest free blues festival in the world. This year's event features legends, rising stars, and special tributes celebrating the artists who keep the tradition alive.
From Maxwell Street to the South Side clubs, the blues helped tell Chicago's story. This weekend, that story takes center stage once again.
