Bangladesh has 5 million neighborhood retailers. $200 billion in annual trade. And the infrastructure to power all of it is finally being built.
This is what the future of distribution looks like.
Smart procurement connecting brands directly to merchants. Seamless logistics delivering stock before it runs out. Fintech is turning everyday purchase data into real working capital.
The mudir dokan is not just a corner shop anymore; it is a digital commerce node, a credit participant and a data point in a living retail network.
97% of the market is still untapped. A $3.5 billion credit gap is closing. And the model does not stop at Bangladesh, it scales across a $856 billion MENA opportunity growing at 7.3% annually.
This is retail infrastructure for the next generation of emerging markets. Powered by technology. Built for the people who keep local economies alive.
And we are leading it!

E-commerce platform @Meesho_Official has acquired @KiranaClubApp for ₹202 crore in cash, expanding its presence in India's $650 billion grocery market and strengthening its B2B commerce ambitions.
Founded in 2020 by Anshul Gupta and Aishwarya Jain, Kirana Club connects 4.1 million registered kirana retailers with FMCG brands and distributors, primarily across Tier II-IV cities and rural India. The platform will continue to operate independently within the Meesho group.
The acquisition gives Meesho deeper access to India's 13 million kirana stores, while enabling Kirana Club to leverage Meesho's logistics, supplier network, and marketplace infrastructure to scale further.
For Meesho, the deal marks a strategic push beyond e-commerce and into broader B2B retail across underserved markets.

Upgrading your retail technology shouldn't force you into a costly overhaul of your physical checkout equipment.
In a recent interview, Leland McFarland of Small Business Trends spoke with Hari Hara Prabu, Head of Product for @ZohoPOS, about the heavy financial realities of hardware replacement. Hari Hara Prabu highlighted that Zoho explicitly supports small businesses reusing their existing hardware infrastructure rather than locking them into mandatory proprietary devices.
For business decision-makers concerned about peripheral configurations or operating system compatibility during a software switch, @Zoho supplies a technical configuration team to manage the setup process seamlessly. Minimizing upfront capital expenditure allows growing brands to focus resources where they matter most.
