If you're looking for a system that: plays Famicom and NES carts ( flashcarts), has 4 ports, is more for modern displays, has built in Game Genie codes, etc., I highly recommend the AVS, by @retroUSB. It's FPGA based, and is fantastic. I've had mine for almost 10 years now.
Its a RetroUSB AVS. I dont think its avaible online anymore, unless you can find one on eBay.
RetroUSB is the website I got it from years ago. I also bought a Nintendo World Championship repro cart a long time ago
This is the USB version of the CopyNES. Designed by Kevtris, sold by RetroUSB in the 2000’s. I use it to fix dead NES Game Action Replay.
I also own the much older parallel port version but gets much less use. 🥺
It was tested but not by me, so I’ll relay the score. The NT Mini Noir got an 89/125 on the previous test. The RetroUSB AVS scored a 92/125 on the previous test.
The final 8-bit Xmas.. Christmas is over for the NES apparently..
You can grab one of these carts from @retroUSB while they last..
