Facebook post by Joshua Daniel Pratt (sent to me), campaign manager for Vic Flynn:
A PROPHETIC CALL TO REPENTANCE FOR RHODE ISLAND
To those who would stand on the side of truth, justice, and victory—hear this word.
After breaking bread with the Republican Party of Rhode Island, I did not leave encouraged—I left grieved in spirit.
For it has been revealed plainly:
You do not strive for victory—you contend for second place.
Yes, I say it again without hesitation—
There is a spirit among you that loves defeat.
You war not against the darkness that overtakes this state, but against one another—
Not to win, but to ensure you lose to those who are actively dismantling righteousness, freedom, and prosperity.
And yet, a voice cried out in that room.
I honor the bold rebuke delivered by Minority Leader Michael Chippendale, who spoke truth against the sloth, the complacency, and the failure to raise up worthy candidates to stand against the rising tide of progressive socialism that is eroding Rhode Island.
There is courage there. There is clarity there.
And I stand in full agreement with Chippendale and Dave Levesque of the League of Rhode Island Businesses—
That the system must be disrupted, reformed, and, if necessary, broken apart to be rebuilt in truth—
Even if it means abandoning party labels to advance righteous leadership where Republicans have surrendered the field.
But hear this indictment:
Two sins stand exposed among you:
First—Ignorance of Purpose.
You claim to stand for life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, yet reject the very strategies required to secure them. You idolize party identity over principle. This is not wisdom—it is foolishness. It is immaturity. It is the root of your perpetual defeat.
Second—Sabotage of the Righteous.
It is evident—clear as day—that obstacles have been deliberately placed in the path of this campaign. Not by the opposition alone—but from within your own ranks.
Why? Because some among you would rather preserve your position in a losing system than risk victory that disrupts your control.
Shame on you.
While the people suffer, while families are burdened, while businesses struggle under the weight of failed leadership—
You bicker. You posture. You undermine.
You target Vic—the one man positioned to defeat Seth Magaziner—not because he is weak, but because he threatens your comfort.
You criticize. You distort. You divide.
For what?
To feel important?
To appear righteous?
To secure your place in yet another cycle of defeat?
This is not leadership. This is sin.
You have become more concerned with titles than truth,
More loyal to feelings than facts,
More driven by recognition than by results for the people you claim to serve.
And so I say this plainly:
Repent.
Turn from this path of division, pride, and self-preservation.
Return to courage. Return to clarity. Return to the mission.
Because the battle before us is not merely against the left—
It is against a spirit of defeat that has taken root within the right.
You stand in a circle, firing at one another—
While the enemy advances unchallenged.
This cannot continue.
May God have mercy on the Rhode Island Republican Party—
And may He raise up those who will stand for truth, unity, and victory.
All For Victor(y),
Joshua Daniel
