Japan's H3 rocket is back.
The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) successfully launched the H3 rocket on June 12, marking its return to flight after a mission failure in late 2025.
The mission carried six satellites and successfully delivered all of them to their intended orbits. It also marked the first flight of H3's three-engine configuration.
The rocket's previous mission ended unsuccessfully after a damaged payload adapter led to the loss of its satellite payload. Following an investigation and corrective measures, the H3 team returned to the launch pad with a successful mission.
Space exploration is rarely a straight path. Every setback becomes a lesson that helps future missions succeed.
This latest launch is an important milestone for Japan's next-generation launch vehicle and its future space ambitions.
