Well that’s my last run done before my Marathon next week. Only 1m 20sec off my personal best for a half Marathon but I was so fit in 2020 during lockdown. So I’m really happy with my fitness levels going into my 3rd Marathon 🏃‍♂️ and I know I’ve trained as much as I could of done in my circumstances. Morning everyone, so I know I’ve not been promoting my fundraiser as much as I should lately but it’s cos I’ve had a lot of personal shit going on. But I have kept up my training and getting ready for my Marathon next Sunday. I’ll do my last run tomorrow which will be a half Marathon. So far we’ve raised over £2700 which is amazing by everyone who donated, thank you so much. So this wknd I did a half marathon on Friday afternoon then had a day of rest yesterday (if you can even call it rest my eldest lad ran me raggid haha) then I just done another 20k this afternoon. 41k completed this wknd now 4 weeks out from my marathon. So far we’ve raised just over £2600 which is honestly brilliant guys. Would like to get it past £3k by end of next week if possible, it’s for a great cause as you know. So I fell short of my target today because I was getting some pain in my kidneys so I thought best listen to my body, disappointing but sometimes you do fail and have to go again next time out and that’s ok. However that’s the 1st time I’ve ever done a half marathon with no stopping so that’s a great achievement though. Did a 5k best effort today and beat my previous time by over a minute so definitely getting fitter and also lost 5lbs in 2 weeks eating healthy and cutting out all the crap. Just got out on a run for 1st time in over a month. Not been able to run due to personal reasons which some of you are aware of. But it’s a good effort beating my last 5k time when I’ve not ran for about 5 weeks so I’m happy with that. Well I fell short on today’s run I didn’t complete a half marathon like I wanted to. 1. Underestimated the weather, after 16k I couldn’t feel my fingers. 2. Love my dog to bits but she was like an anchor for large parts of the run and it took so much out of me. But you can’t always be successful you are gonna fail sometimes that’s part of life but will keep going as it’s for a great cause, to raise money for the people of Gaza. I can’t believe I set a target of £1000 to reach by 11th May to raise money for Gaza. I only launched it this Sunday just gone and I’ve already hit my target 🥲😇 You’re all legends all of you I love you all thank you for supporting my fundraiser.
