‘Tougher than I thought, hillier than I remember’. Am sure the @readinghalf course used to be flat… After multiple morning transport snafus, it was fab to be the very very last runner to cross the start! That’s ignominy for ya. I ran on my own for ages, on a deserted course; and only just made the cut-off… Marshalls were as confused as I must have looked. “Up there mate, but you’ve got 3 minutes before shut-down so get a shift on”. Another: “Nah, he’s going three times as fast as everyone - he’ll be fine”. I finally caught up the slowest person and then overtook thousands from there… 1 hour 56 mins! Happy - the time I’m pointing to in the first pic. (I wasn’t even in town when the starting gun went off [‘gun time’]) #runreading25
