Locked in a quick but efficient session today with Elijah. 4x10yd starts to dial in the drive phase 4x15yd sled sprints to build force and acceleration 4x20yd finishes to carry speed through the transition Had to move with urgency because of film, but still got quality work in. Rolled straight into RB development — agility, hip mobility, change of direction, pad level, foot speed, and decision-making. A lot packed into just over an hour, but everything intentional. Camp is getting close. Now it’s about stacking speed, sharpening the details, and expanding the bag every single session. No wasted reps. Good work in today. Started with ankle stiffness, hip control, and COD work, then got into hurdle hops, lateral cuts, Inside Zone reads, pass pro, and screen breakoffs. Really focused on being patient to the hole, staying square, changing pad level, and making every move violent and intentional. Just stacking reps and building it the right way so it shows up when camp gets here. Back to work today after meniscus surgery. Just thankful to be back moving again. Kept things controlled and focused on the details. Started on the field getting the knee moving with some rhythm runs and working arm swing and stride patterns. Added some short burst 5-yard sprints, 3 with the sled and 3 without, focusing on staying low, sprint angles, and low heel recovery since we’re not opening up to full speed yet. Finished up in the gym with single-leg strength work, step-ups, RDLs, belt squats, hip bridges, and calves to keep building strength and stability. Right now it’s about working technique and the small details so when it’s time to open up and run full speed again, we surprise people with where we are. #RunningBackTraining #RBDevelopment #SpeedWork #StackTheDays #ClassOf2027

Since weather kept us inside, we leaned into intentional loading and power transfer. We started with hip, ankle, and shoulder mobility to make sure Elijah was moving freely and in strong positions. From there, we progressed through CNS-focused jumps, teaching new movement patterns and emphasizing stiffness, intent, and clean takeoff mechanics. We layered in loaded-to-unloaded box jumps, single-leg power work with a knee drive to simulate force transfer, and seated jumps to eliminate momentum and reinforce first-step explosiveness. Everything was done with low reps, full intent, and quality execution. We finished with banded sprint switches and cable leg drives to reinforce drive mechanics, foot strike, and how power actually transfers into movement. No conditioning. No wasted reps. Just building power that shows up when it’s time to move fast. #SpeedDevelopment #FootballTraining #RunningBackTraining #PowerTransfer #TrainWithIntent
