I am very proud to say that my grandparents owned the Newmarket for many years and my mother & her siblings were raised there.
Interesting tidbit β my grandfather brought an amazing French to Australia expecially to build & maintain the spiral staircase.

A 150 year anniversary for a small but beautiful State Heritage jewel - the Smyth Chapel in Adelaideβs West Tce Cemetery was consecrated #OTD 21 Oct 1871. The recent restoration for the Catholic Archdiocese won a @SAChapter Award. On #KaurnaCountry.

Always amazing to me - that they knocked this gorgeous structure down to build the ugly Napier Building. (I used to work in the Napier Building - ugly inside and out!)
