The fire is moving into a crux at Lovers Leap. Once it moves 3/4 mile east to Camp Sacramento it will have what firefighters call 'alignment' - all the factors which drive rapid fire spread (terrain, winds, heavy fuel) are present to fuel a major run up through Sierra at Tahoe.

Forecast guidance indicating potential dry lightning in central/northern California Sunday evening into Monday. Moisture and one, possibly two waves rotate around the Four Corners High and move north across California. Still some uncertainty, but trending that way #CAwx

Cal Fire #SCUResourceMgmt Team reviewed some fire suppression work performed last fall after the #sculightningcomplex. Contingency dozer lines and road repair are holding up nicely at #CanadadelosOsosEcologicalReserve. Also discussed a potential prescribed burn. #SantaClaraUnit

Was cleaning out my images file last night and came across this video from 6am on August 16, 2020. You can see the strikes ignighting the #SCULightningComplex - viewed here from Stinson Beach, nearly 50 miles to the north and across the Gulf of the Farallones. What a year.
