Powering the future goes beyond infrastructure, it’s about people. Today, at the New Abeokuta Transmission Substation, Ogun State, we officially launched the Siemens Energy Education & Development (SEED) Programme under Phase 1 of the Presidential Power Initiative (PPI). SEED is a flagship capacity development initiative co-implemented by Siemens Energy, FGN Power Company, and GIZ under the Nigeria Energy Support Programme Phase III (NESP III), in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Power, and co-funded by the European Union and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). Over the next five years, the programme will identify, train, certify, and place 6,000 skilled energy professionals across Nigeria equipping engineers and technicians with globally relevant expertise to support the nation’s expanding power infrastructure and long-term energy sustainability. As the Presidential Power Initiative advances critical transmission projects across the country, SEED is ensuring that Nigeria is not only investing in infrastructure, but also in the people who will power, maintain, and sustain it for generations to come. #FGNPC #PPI #SEEDProgramme #PoweringNigeria #SiemensEnergy

🇬🇭🔥GHANA'S YOUTH FUTURE JUST GOT A MAJOR BOOST BUT WILL IT DELIVER? DATA-BACKED BREAKDOWN OF THE NEW SEED PROGRAMME. Just 2 days ago, Vice President Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang launched the Students Entrepreneurship and Enterprise Development (SEED) Programme by NEIP at UPSA. The Promise: Train 10,000 tertiary students & recent grads every year with skills mentorship, business registration support and grants up to GH¢100,000. Goal? 🧵TURN JOBSEEKERS INTO JOB-CREATORS IN AGRIBUSINESS, DIGITAL, CREATIVE INDUSTRIES & GREEN ECONOMY. THE REALITY CHECK: Youth unemployment in Ghana is hitting 34% (TUC & Ghana Statistical Service May 2026) a national security threat with over 500,000 young people chasing limited security service jobs. NEIP’s past Adwumawura initiative already supported 10,000 youth and disbursed GH¢100 million to 3,212 businesses. QUESTION FOR POLICYMAKERS & YOUTH: Is SEED the scalable solution we’ve been waiting for, or does it need stronger monitoring, private sector buy-in and faster rollout to move the needle? I do data-backed research hard statistics deep policy analysis & independent investigations no hype just facts HD visuals in every thread.
