First of all, the US is losing its reserve currency status, as more & more nations are trading either Yuan or their own currency thru the Russian SPFS. Since The Russian Federation has backed over a third of its currency in Gold, and developed their own currency exchange, and does not participate in the "World's Central Bank", many Countries are investing within Russia, {evidenced by the St. Petersburg forum} as Russia is seen globally as very stable, AND they don't use "Sanctions" as a tool or weapon.
Since the fall of the Soviet Union, the Collective West thru the City of London, and their Corporate Oligarchy literally raped the fledgling Country until President Putin was elected. He Nationalized ALL Mineral Resources, and Royal Dutch Shell, BP, Exxon & Co. were given a choice. Either divest to 25% ownership, taking their ill gotten profits, or face charges. They had a year to do so. They tried using corrupt Russian Oligarchs and shell companies, and of course that didn't go well. If I remember correctly, 2 refused to leave when told to, and ended up in prison, but the rest left, taking Billions with them. Despite this, in less than 20 years, President Putin has completely changed Russia from its education system to its ability to remain sovereign, giving the Russian people a very good life, while at the same time, constantly being attacked and undermined by the West.
You also forget the generations it's taken for Russia to rebuild after losing almost 30 Million people fighting the Nazis in WW2. That devastation alone, set Russia way back.
Since the fall of the Soviet Union, the West has used their Color Revolution, Divide & Conquer Strategies in every Border Country or State around Russia, to try to prevent its growth, just as they did in the former Yugoslavia, and are currently doing in the Sahel Countries of Africa.
The quality of life for the average Russian Citizens vs the current quality of life for the average American Citizen is night and day. Unless you actually spend some real time in Russia, understand the culture and know what it was like prior to President Putin, you are comparing apples to rocks.
I will say this, many Russian citizens are sick of Putin's handling of Ukraine and the Collective West. {and have been for a while} They want him to destroy Western Ukraine, and be done with it. They do believe he is NOT tough enough on the European Countries allowing their airspace to be used to attack civilians in Russia, and those who are supplying the means to do it...
