Note: I call LLMs 'relational' because they function as a distributed relational map. While a traditional SQL database stores relationships explicitly (in rows and columns), an LLM stores them implicitly (in the weights). My point is - it's a glorified database. Nothing more.

Been a while. Academics has been intense lately, but this week, I: • Started learning SQL and passed Intro & Intermediate SQL exams. • Worked on Python projects. • Started learning Pandas. • Attended classes. Progress is progress, I guess. Enjoy your weekend. 😙

3. The SQL Drafter I'm working in [database, e.g. Postgres, BigQuery]. Here are my tables and key columns: [paste]. Write the SQL to answer: [plain-language question]. Comment each step so I can follow the logic, and flag any join that could silently double-count rows. If there's a simpler or faster way to get the same answer, show that too.

A dashboard tells you what happened. It rarely tells you why. These 7 prompts turn AI into a data analyst that finds the why. Profiling raw data, drafting the SQL, and writing the story behind the numbers.

Possibly nothing. That's the trick. The SQL is syntactically correct, but an interviewer is usually testing what assumptions you're making. Questions I'd ask: - Is department indexed? - How many rows are in the table? - What's the cardinality of department? - Is the comparison case sensitive? - is this a hot query executed thousands of times per second?

Bun’s @rustlang rewrite now helps power Prisma Compute in production. On stable @bunjavascript, we hit memory leaks and SQL pool deadlocks after scale-to-zero. Those are critical for Compute, where apps can pause, resume, and serve traffic again.

The key here is routing. If you can solve a 30s complex sql query with a local model, theres no explanation to go higher. If it struggles, then route it to the pro cloud model
