April 28,marks the National #DayofMourning. A time to remember all those who lost their lives or had their lives changed forever because of a workplace injury or occupational disease.
ETT will continue to mourn the dead, fight for the living, and demand #SafeWorkNow!
Attendees laid their wreaths around the Milestones of Labour Injured Worker Monument in Brampton to remember lives lost and for those injured in the workplace. #DayOfMourning @peellabour
As we remember the lives that have been lost, we must also find strength and resilience. Today is not only about grieving but also renewing our commitment to workplace health and safety.
Conservative estimates indicate half of all work-related injuries and illnesses are never reported.
Better recognition and reporting is critical if we are to know the true impact of unsafe and unhealthy work: bit.ly/441eCVF#DayOfMourning
