Prezydium Polskiej Akademii Nauk podjęło dziś decyzję o ustanowieniu Nagrody Polskiej Akademii Nauk – wyróżnienia, które ma stać się jednym z najważniejszych punktów odniesienia dla doskonałości naukowej w Polsce. Nagroda będzie przyznawana za wybitne osiągnięcia naukowe prowadzone w Polsce, o potencjale konkurowania o najbardziej prestiżowe wyróżnienia na świecie. W tym sensie to krok w stronę stworzenia polskiego odpowiednika „#Nagrody #Nobla” – nagrody, która nie tylko docenia, ale i wzmacnia polskie zespoły badawcze w globalnym obiegu nauki. Laureat lub zespół otrzyma:
• 400 tys. zł,
• unikalną statuetkę PAN,
• uznanie środowiska naukowego oraz wsparcie komunikacyjne Akademii. Regulamin zapewnia transparentność procesu: od zgłoszeń (1.01-30.04), przez wieloetapową ocenę Kapituły i recenzentów, po ogłoszenie podczas corocznej gali w grudniu.
