SecAppDev is a full week software security course taught by a wide variety of educators from all over the world. I’m a huge fan of this course. I’m thrilled to be teaching there this year. It’s been over a decade since I joined SecAppDev’s staff. secappdev.org/2025/sessions/…

Few people in cybersecurity have made as much real-world impact as Eva Galperin. Her work against stalkerware and surveillance tech has changed the game for online privacy. We are so excited to have her at SecAppDev 2025! More info and registration on secappdev.org

After 20 years in cybersecurity I never felt like I fit in. I’m not really a developer anymore and I was never a traditional security professional. My main expertise these days is PowerPoint, research and education. It’s been a joy carving my own path. It’s been incredibly fun. I feel like I cheated, bypassing most of the steps that many security professionals have had to pass through. Hard steps. While most spent years grinding as a pentester, developer or manager, I was making sure my PowerPoints looked pretty. As I sit here watching the keynote at #SecAppDev I realize just how fortunate I have been at @Manicode. Thank to you to everyone who has supported me over the past few decades. Friends, fellow professors, the OWASP community, and my amazing customers who have had faith in me and my business to work with their developer teams. This year was my biggest year at @Manicode. We keep growing slowly and continue to teach AppSec to developers one live class at a time and will continue to do so for many years to come. #greatful #gratitude #GratitudeDaily

Looking forward to speak at SecAppDev 2024 next week (twice!) Pick your poison: safe sandboxing of JavaScript code, or learning about the ins and outs of Ethereum and Solidity.

#JavaScript #Security is best described as a hot mess, especially when it comes to loading potentially untrusted code. At SecAppDev 2024, Tom Van Cutsem will dive into design principles and dialects that allow you to build "least-authority" JS apps! buff.ly/44ug0QS

Agreed, it's really important and not really looked after. I gave a lecture at @SecAppDev and a speech at @ljcjug. Suprisingly, big conferences do not cater for this, but it's good that @Devoxx do! I shall submit next time :)
