It's taken a while. Far, far too long but we're pleased to see the 'works' to finally install a new lamp post opposite Serpentine Walk that started months ago as part of the Albert Roundabout pedestrian crossing project, look to have just been completed.

In less than 24 hours after we reported this dog bin in Rosebery Avenue coming adrift to the folk at the City Council, it had been sorted.
What's more, a resident saw it being repaired very early - before most folk were up and about.
Great service!

Some weeks after we reported this dangerous pavement defect in Long Wyre Street, we've been told by @essexhighways that they've now 'made it safe'.
We're keenly looking forward to full and proper reinstatement.

We're pleased to see that the bent post and traffic sign in St John's Street by the entrance to the Vineyard Street car park has now been replaced after we reported it to #EssexHighways.
This isn't the first bit of street furniture to be damaged here...

We reported a pretty large graffiti outbreak around the footbridge over the railway at Childwell Alley - one of #Colchester's ancient 'streets'.
The brilliant Neighbourhood team at the City Council got it all sorted in a couple of days .

A long abandoned #LoneCone and a couple of black bags that had been lingering for a few weeks on Cowdray Avenue, were swiftly removed after we reported them online to the City Centre Neighbourhood Team @yourcolchester.

A big thank you to the folk in the City Centre Neighbourhood Team who cleaned the graffiti off two interpretation panels along the National Cycle Route 51 through 'The Moors' after we reported it earlier this week.

It's good to see that this somewhat bent guardrail at the North Station Roundabout has been sorted after we reported it to the team at #EssexHighways.
There are still other bent barriers there that haven't been sorted yet but this was the worst.

The Priory Street Car Park had long needed a TLC. Multiple fence rails were broken or missing and there was uncontrolled weed growth. We reported - and then escalated - it with the city council - who sorted it.

It's taken a long, long time but the #YellowMat that's been adorning the pavement in Crouch Street here in #Colchester, #BritainsFirstCity for quite a few years, has now, at last, gone.

The long, long, missing rail from the barrier on East Hill obviously wasn't the biggest of issue in #Colchester let alone #Essex.

We reported this seriously bent parking sign in Rosebery Avenue to the North Essex Parking Parternership (NEPP).
We're delighted that it's no longer bent and has been repositioned to reduce the likelihood of another vehicle strike.

We're not sure why someone would dump a large LCD TV on a City Centre Pavement but it takes all sorts we suppose....
We reported this one outside the Globe Hotel on North Station Road and it's now sorted.
It's called #CivicPride.
More of it is needed...

We reported this Asda Trolley that was cluttering up the shrubbery by the Station Way Bus Stop to the folk @YourColchester.
Within 48 hours it had been removed. Great service - thanks team!

For some years now there's been a steel lamppost outside 9 North Hill that was noticeably leaning backwards.
It's taken a long, long time, but we're delighted that @EssexHighways have now sorted it and the post is now vertical.

Essex Highways have been busy recently undertaking pavement & kerb repairs along North Station Road from Middleborough to the Essex Hall Roundabout.
We've lost track of the number of defects we reported but, #PraiseWherePraiseIsDue, many are now sorted.
