Out here in Waxahachie, Texas today working on a pad site — been having a good time on this one. This is a shell-only project, and today’s focus was bringing in select fill. One side was sitting a little low, so I had to bring in quite a bit more material over there. That’s a wrap for the pad work today — next up is soil stabilization. We’ll be doing chemical injections on this build, even though we’re using select fill, because the geotechnical report came back with a rough score. That’s why testing your soil is so important — it not only tells us how to build the foundation but also what kind of reinforcements we’ll need to make sure it stands the test of time.
