Google shipped Remote Compose in December 2025. It's their first-party answer to a problem Airbnb, Duolingo, and Coinbase each tackled in their own way.
Instead of sending JSON and mapping component names, Remote Compose captures drawing operations as bytes. That changes what forward-compatible means for server-driven UI.
Six alpha releases in three months. The catch: no iOS player yet, and binary payloads are harder to debug than the JSON everyone's used to.
