♥️🐾OMG today was pure CHAOS (the good kind!!) ♥️ My tiny terror of a brother Kenji had his FIRST EVER puppy playdate now that he's all vaxxed and fancy-free! So far he's only met level headed adult dogs. We turned the training room & outdoor enclosure into a total ZOOMIE ZONE with my labby besties: shadowy ninjas Moon & Mars (black labs!), sunny goofballs Maple & Mantra (yellow labs!)—all future service dog superstars like moi! Three of these silly pups crashed at our place this fall for city adventures & sniffs... and they tackled me with excited squeals like "CHESNYY WE MISSED YOUR FLOOF!!" 😊 Kenji's a few months younger & currently pocket-sized compared to these giant fluffballs, but did he hide? NOPE! Brave lil' Rottie baby held his own—play bows, gentle nibbles, epic chases, and zero intimidation! He was like "Big dogs? Assistance Dog in Training 🐾 Winnie is spending some quality time at DBL Certified Assistance Dog Trainer Dana’s house and she’s having a pretty great time! She’s a busy girl, but such a good one. There have been a couple of “learning moments” (a.k.a. counter surfing attempts), and she’s practicing staying in one spot for more than a minute. Progress looks good so far! The best part? When Dana asked Winnie to “place,” Dana's own dog Sierra joined right in! A big thank you to Rebecca Nocera, her amazing service dog Lucinda, Rebecca’s mom, and Chris with Tofu (service dog in training) for visiting our classroom today! The students—and I—were so excited to see you and meet the dogs. We loved learning all about the important jobs service dogs do and seeing them in action. Thank you for making our day so special! Rebecca is a former student of mine and I’m so proud of her for coming in to talk with the class! My class did an excellent job asking thoughtful and respectful questions during the visit from our guest and her service dog. The students were genuinely curious and showed great interest in learning how the service dog helps support her in daily life. They asked smart questions about how the dog is trained, what specific tasks it does to help her, and how it works alongside her wheelchair. Their questions showed kindness, understanding, and a real desire to learn more about service animals and the important role they play in helping people with disabilities. #ServiceDogs #ServiceDogsinTraining #CanineCompanions ❤️❤️🐾❤️❤️

DBL Certified Assistance Dog Trainers Dana and Eli brought Assistance Dogs in Training 🐾 Warrick and 🐾 Merlin out to the airport for Taste of the Rogue last week and the boys crushed it! From greeting all kinds of new people, to watching the luggage carousel spin, to calmly listening to those booming overhead announcements, Warrick and Merlin showed off their growing skills in a busy, real-world setting. Merlin may have been a little distracted by Eli’s Harry & David snack (can you blame him? 😉), but overall both pups did an incredible job proving just how important this training is for their future roles. 👏 Big shoutout to Dana and Eli for giving our dogs these valuable experiences that prepare them to one day change lives! #DogsForBetterLives #ServiceDogsInTraining #TasteOfTheRogue #FutureAssistanceDogs
