Some days your work gives you amazing opportunities as I spent the morning with over 50 young ladies at the Ohio Operating Engineers Apprenticeship Logan for SHEDIG! I don’t think the IUOE is ready for me…I think State Rep @MarkJoh28961872 would agree! 🇺🇸❤️
Girls from Auto Tech, Engineering, and Construction Tech classes attended the SHEDIG event promoting women in the construction industry. They heard Operational Engineers speak about this in-demand, lucrative career and go to work in and use some of the heavy equipment.
Last week, 11 students from the South-Western Career Academy's attended the annual SHEDIG event, which promotes women in the construction industry.
The students were able to hear about this high-demand career pathway and try their skills at moving some of the heavy equipment.
