At Aagaaz-E-Shakti, we felicitated 9 powerful women leaders sarpanches, ward members, and zilla parishad representatives who are doing phenomenal work in their communities. Their journeys stand as a strong reminder that women don’t need proxies they are leaders in their own right, challenging and changing the “sarpanch pati” narrative every day. We were honoured to be joined by Gunjan Singh, National General Secretary, All India Mahila Congress, and Anuradha Prasad, Founder & CEO of ILSS, who shared insightful reflections on women’s leadership, challenges, and possibilities in public life. From managing daily responsibilities to building trust with their communities, our women elected representatives from She-Represents 2025 engaged in conversations that went far beyond elections : they spoke of purpose, people and hope. Organised by @codemotech , this constituency management session wasn’t just about understanding the how of elections. It became a space to learn skills from those leading women-centric campaigns rooted in ethics, equality, education, and grassroots support. We explored how tools like AI can aid voter outreach and principled strategy, but what truly moved us were the lived experiences : stories of courage, commitment, and dreams of becoming principled politicians. These sessions weren’t just for training skills. They were spaces of shared transformation, reminding us that leadership isn’t claimed from a podium, but by walking together, holding space for each other, and reclaiming what was once out of reach.
