Last week at the SheTech AI Panel, I shared a story that I wanted to bring here on X as well.
My 7-year-old son chats with Doubao every day. When his grandparents and I are busy, AI becomes his easiest companion.
But over time, I realized something: his entire AI world was just one app. To him, AI was simply a chatbot.
So I started guiding him to explore AI in a broader way. I showed him different interactive AI tools from Google, bought him a few related books, and helped him understand the basic logic behind how AI works.
He is only 7, but I want him to build the right mindset early:
AI is not just a chatbot to pass the time. It is a powerful tool to amplify what we can do.
And honestly, this is not just about children.
Many adults are still using AI in the same way. They may use it every day, but only in the most basic and surface-level scenarios.
So it is worth asking yourself:
Is your use of AI still limited to one channel and one function?
Are you truly maximizing the value AI can bring?
Here is one practical method I use myself:
Map out your full workflow. Break it down into all the repetitive, mechanical, and standardized tasks. Then hand those parts over to AI, and let AI become deeply embedded in your daily work.
A few tools and use cases I personally find useful:
✅ Research and analysis: Gemini / ChatGPT / Doubao Deep Research
Great for autonomous search, information gathering, and industry research. Reports that used to take days can now produce a strong first draft in minutes, saving a huge amount of research time.
✅ Long-form writing / external copy: Claude
Claude is smooth, natural, and logically structured. It works well for long-form writing and detailed polishing, especially for formal external-facing content.
That said, since I already use the Gemini suite and ChatGPT Plus quite heavily, I have not been using Claude as much recently. If you are a heavy Claude user, I would love to hear your experience in the comments.
✅ Daily communication / summaries / translation: ChatGPT
Strong memory, smooth responses, and very useful for frequent small tasks and basic office workflows. I have also found myself using ChatGPT more recently because Gemini’s hallucinations feel a bit more noticeable.
✅ Email management: Gemini
I receive hundreds, sometimes thousands, of emails every week, many of them spam. I used to worry about missing genuinely valuable partnership opportunities. Now I use Gemini directly inside Gmail, which saves me a lot of time.
The prompts I often use:
1️⃣ Check all the important emails I have not responded to in the past 7 days, and summarize those email threads.
2️⃣ Draft an email saying [message].
3️⃣ Create this event in Google Calendar on [date].
No need to open every email one by one. Important messages are less likely to be missed, and spam takes up far less time.
✅ Knowledge management: NotebookLM
A powerful tool for organizing information. You can upload PDFs, webpages, and video materials, and it can summarize, answer questions, and extract key points automatically. It also does a decent job turning your materials into podcast-style content and slides. Upload 10 papers, and it can pull out the core ideas in minutes.
✅ Complex multi-step tasks: Manus
Manus can break down complex workflows and execute them step by step. Whether it is deep industry research or a full PPT, it can handle the process end to end much faster than doing everything manually. The main downside is that token-based pricing can get a bit expensive.
During the panel, Ms. Cui Li, CDO of ZTE, said something that really resonated with me:
Leaving powerful tools unused is a form of falling behind. Human-AI collaboration will become one of the core competitive advantages of the future.
The future will be an era where carbon-based life and silicon-based life evolve together.
The question is: will you watch from the sidelines, or evolve with it?
✅ 调研分析:Gemini/ChatGPT/豆包 Deep Research
Claude
Gemini
1️⃣ Check for all the important emails that I have not responded in the last 7 days, and summarize these email threads
2️⃣ Draft an email saying [信息]
3️⃣ Create this event in Google Calendar on [日期]
Manus
