There's big changes coming for @0xPolygon and their Kaito S2 rewards. Starting January 1st, Polygon's season 2 starts and it's very different to anything we've seen before in InfoFi. There's 3 key new features: 1) General leaderboard gets more competitive 2) Flash campaigns to reward more people for onchain activity 3) Regional rewards Leaderboard: S2 rewards: Top 20 creators Reward Pool: $10k USDC/month *Polygon labs employees & affiliates not eligible* Flash Campaigns: 3-7 day campaigns Reward Pool: $10k USDC/month ($2k-$5k per campaign) Rewards: eligible creators within the Top 100 These flash campaigns are content tournaments which are a new social engine for fast, high-tempo creator activity tied to onchain use cases and major ecosystem announcements. e With each tournament comes a new topic request with submissions shared in the Polygon HQ Telegram “Community Content” Channel. Special bonus selections will be given out for the best technical content, memes, videos and clips, on a monthly basis. Lastly, Regional Leaderboard: These are built to reward the global communities, starting with Korea Reward Pool: $10K USDC/month Rewards: eligible creators within the Top 5 regional board ($2.5K USDC) Extra reward pool for regional flash campaigns To be eligible creators must be within Top 100 regional leaderboard for Polygon ------------------------------------ This new approach is really interesting because Telegram becomes the home base as flash campaigns and submissions are announced in the 'Polygon Telegram Community Content channel' Creators will submit their live content back in this channel to enter the campaign. Everything gets reviewed for leaderboard scoring, eligibility, and amplification. Could this be a way to combat AI slop and reward real creators? It certainly looks that way, it'll be interesting to see how this develops.
