Ive always been a purist. Even at a young age. Playing blades when golfing. Biking with one gear and no brakes. Its beauty through simplicity but more than that. A constant reminder of what youre really worth. Theres no forgiveness or room for error. Youre output is raw and directly correlates to input. There are no brakes or work arounds. A constant humbling experience only few appreciate or would care to put themselves through, let alone compete with these types of tools. Folks won't say jt but they think its foolish. Many times it flat out sucks. But thats where growth occurs and skills become the sharpest. Maybe its pride. Why live like this when things can be easier?
Idk for me its not worth living if its not pure. I cant stand to look at something other than blades or a singlespeed fixed to a frame. Maybe its a DNA thing or the way Im wired. But I wouldnt have it any other way. Im not saying its better but my choice nonetheless.

hab ja bei meinem singlespeed fahrrad ne flipflop nabe & auf der anderen seite halt ein fixed gear ritzel
heute mal rad umgedreht & als fixie gefahren, rt das schon bisschen gruselig wenn man das nicht gewöhnt ist haha
einmal fast abgehoben weil ich vergessen hab weiterzutreten
