SolidFlow uses organic polyaromatic active materials instead of lithium, cobalt, vanadium or rare earths. It structurally reduces demand for several critical minerals simultaneously. A €1B bet on organic electrochemistry is also a bet against the current supply chain.

European Battery Company CMBlu Energy has reached unicorn status, being worth over €1 Billion. The new investments will push the manufacturing of their non-lithium SolidFlow battery forward. They are made from earth-abundant, recyclable materials, changing the game.

CMBlu aus Alzenau baut SolidFlow-Batterien: wasserbasiert, nicht brennbar, für 10 Stunden Speicherung ausgelegt. Mit Uniper besteht bereits ein 5-GWh-Rahmenabkommen, eine Gigafactory läuft und Expansion in USA und Griechenland ist geplant.
