Runner-up finish for Troy Coughlin Jr. and the Elite Motorsports team at the
@NHRA Southern Nationals, closing out a weekend defined by consistency, determination, and a serious push through a stacked field at South Georgia Motorsports Park.
Starting from the No. 15 qualifying spot, Troy and the team steadily built momentum. They knocked off Eric Latino in E1, Deric Kramer in E2, and 6x champion Erica Enders in the semis to punch their ticket to the final round in front of a sold-out crowd. In the final, Troy Jr. just came up short with his 6.643 pass at 208.59 to Dallas Glenn 6.642 at 211.39.
“The consistency is coming… we’re trying to align everything to get this thing faster. The guys are working around the clock, and I think we’re getting closer every weekend. It’s a big challenge out here, especially with the competition, but I’m having a lot of fun. It’s an honor to race with these guys. We’re going to keep digging and keep improving until we get one of those Wallys.”
Congratulations to Troy Jr. and to his Elite team.
