📢 Šavnik u evropskom projektu SpongeWorks – Horizon program Opština Šavnik je potpisivanjem Sub-grant sporazuma sa Međunarodnom mrežom organizacija za upravljanje slivovima (INBO) zvanično započela učešće u evropskom projektu SpongeWorks, koji se finansira iz programa Horizon Europe. 🇪🇺 U okviru ovog projekta, Opština će implementirati projekat pod nazivom Flood Resilience Strategy/Strategija otpornosti na poplave, koji će trajati do kraja 2027. godine. Projekat ima za cilj da ojača otpornost teritorije Šavnika na rizike od poplava kroz integraciju prirodnih rješenja, unapređenje planiranja u prostornoj politici i razvoj mjera za održivo upravljanje vodama 💧. Kao jedna od osam pridruženih regija u projektu, zajedno sa partnerima iz Mađarske, Italije, Španije, Finske, Irske, Ukrajine i Belgije, Opština Šavnik će imati priliku da razvija i primjenjuje najbolje evropske prakse u oblasti klimatske adaptacije i održivog upravljanja zemljištem i vodama. Projekat „Flood Resilience Strategy“ fokusiraće se na: • Identifikaciju i mapiranje područja izloženih riziku od poplava 🗺️ • Uvođenje „sunđerastih mjera“ (sponge measures) kao što su zadržavanje kišnice, zelene površine i prirodne barijere 🌳 • Povezivanje lokalnog stanovništva, institucija i stručnjaka u cilju izgradnje zajedničkog pristupa zaštiti od klimatskih nepogoda 🌧️ Ova inicijativa ne samo da doprinosi jačanju otpornosti lokalne zajednice, već i pozicionira Šavnik kao aktivnog partnera u evropskim klimatskim i ekološkim politikama. Realizacija projekta biće finansirana iz sredstava EU u iznosu od 100.000 EUR.
