Planting Bare-Root Trees in Spring…GrownByYou    While early to mid-autumn is the best time to plant most trees across many climates, bare-root trees were dug at nursery growers for spring planting and it's time to plant them.🌿    Gardeners in cold-winter climates may also plant trees in spring to avoid transplant shock due to very cold conditions, such as those experienced this year across the eastern U.S. states.🌿    Our experts explain when to plant and how to plant, demonstrating the planting of bare-root, container-grown, and box-grown trees, at this link: 🔗grownbyyou.com/growing-trees… GrownByYou: We’re All About How.℠ #tree #plantingtrees #bareroottrees #boxedtrees #springplanting #whentoplanttrees #howtoplanttrees #plantingatree #urbangardening #landscaping #GardeningX

Your garden disappears after sunset unless you planted for light that isn't yours. Moonlight doesn't illuminate evenly. It skips dark foliage and lands on anything silver, white, or pale enough to catch it. A garden that looks balanced at noon becomes a patchwork of invisible patches and glowing islands by 10pm. The difference is leaf surface. Silver plants like lamb's ear and artemisia are covered in thousands of microscopic reflective hairs that bounce ambient light back toward your eyes. They don't need moonlight — porch light, streetlight, even a cloudy sky is enough. One artemisia mound next to a dark hosta creates the same depth effect that professional landscape lighting is designed for. No wiring. No timer. Just the right leaf. 🌿 The strongest night-visible plants: - Lamb's ear or artemisia — silver foliage glows under any ambient light - White echinacea — the cones catch overhead light and hold it - Shasta daisies — read like scattered lanterns across a border - Lunaria seed pods — translucent silver discs that stay through winter and seem to produce their own glow White flowers do the heavy lifting after dark. Most colors fade to gray — white stays visible from forty feet away when the red climber beside it has vanished completely. A garden that only works in daylight only works half the time 🌙 via Gardening Success Tips #NightGarden #GardenDesign #GardeningTips #BackyardGarden #SpringPlanting #MoonDay #Herbology

Plant These Vegetables First in Spring…GrownByYou    You'll have the best results with vegetables if you plant cool-season vegetables as soon as frost hazard ends, and wait to plant your warm-season vegetables later. Cool and warm what? Never worry…we explain.🌿    Cool-season vegetables are those species that germinate quickly and tolerate cool soils and early-spring conditions. Most may be planted as soon as soil temperatures reach 40°F (4°C) or higher.🌿    They're also quick maturing and most take just 30–80 days to reach harvest.🌿    That means you can replant later in the season with Warm-season vegetables that need far warmer soils—60–70°F (16–21°C)—just to germinate their seed and 90–130 days to mature. 🌿 Consult the lists of both vegetable types, and get to planting! 🔗grownbyyou.com/planning/fres… GrownByYou: Know Before You Grow.℠ #SpringGardening #SpringPlanting #PlantingSeason #CoolSeasonVegetables #VegetableGarden #GrowYourOwnFood #HomeGardening #GardenTips #GrownByYou #KnowBeforeYouGrow #GardeningX
