Anyone remember Springpad? It was one of the best apps to collect information from the web, but ultimately failed to gain enough traction. Much like Sandy, which was acquired by Twitter and shuttered, it was really good at making sense of unstructured data. I miss them both.

Reading books simply to amass information is no different than reading someone's tweets all day or watching YouTube all day. You gotta use the book as a springpad to launch your own thoughts and ask yourself how do YOU feel about what you just read. These authors are just ppl too
