❤️ A truly emotional moment that melted everyone’s hearts. 104-year-old Martha singing “40 Παλικάρια” with the legendary Matthaios Tsahouridis at St Basil’s NSW/ACT Aged Care Services in Sydney, Australia. Matthaios Tsahouridis was in Australia for the Federation of Pontian Associations of Australia’s annual SYNAPANTEMA, a powerful four-day event celebrating Pontian history, culture, and resilience, while remembering the hundreds of thousands of Pontian, Hellenic, Assyrian, and Armenian lives lost in the Genocide. This year’s Synapantema was unforgettable, thanks to the brilliance of Ματθαίος Τσαχουρίδης and his incredible band, the tireless work of the national committee, and the strong turnout from Pontian communities across Australia. A huge thank you to all the brotherhoods who attended and supported: Pontian Brotherhood of SA Inc., Pontian Eagles Soccer Club, Panagia Soumela Sydney, Greek Pontian Society of Wollongong “Diogenes”, Pontian Club Canberra, Canberra Association of Pontos ‘Trapezounta’, Pontian Brotherhood of Saint George WA, Akrites Australia, and Pontiaki Estia.
