As you know, since the beginning of the
#StampMap project, transparency has been one of the founding principles of the project. This is why we would like to provide you with some additional information before the launch.

๐ As the legislation requires us to do, we must be able to remove any offensive content that could be drawn on the map. This is why a moderation system was planned during the development of StampMap. Only the coordinators of StampMap and the development company Coseso have the capacity to moderate. We will be able to delete all of the designs belonging to a wallet, and may even ban it from the platform if it violates the rules of decency and legislation, in
drawing pictures of a hateful, racist, or violent nature.
๐ This system will only be used for major cases, but cannot be used to delete designs at the request of certain StampMapper, with the aim of removing pixels that generated them in their own creation. We will maintain the principles of blockchain and immutability as much as possible.

๐ Be aware that this is only the first version of StampMapw which you will send me and it is already really great! However, there remain many areas for improvement of which we are aware, and will be proud to develop them with your feedback from this V1.
๐ One of the major areas of improvement will be the support of the platform by the browser, in fact, although we have very suitable servers (with Vercel), it is very likely that you will encounter certain loading delays, which will become more important over time as the number of pixels increases. Indeed, the Map requires a lot of resources to load all the data, imagine: pixel colors, links/social networks/related messages, wallet balances, etc... Depending on the device you have, you will have to more or less wait for loading. The delay is normal, be patient.

๐ In order to reduce loading time, Coseso has provided several display quality levels, which you can choose according to the performance of your device and your needs :
๐ฅ Low: recommended if you want to draw on the map, drawings that do not require a lot of precision. This level will allow you to save time for laying out your pixels, although the image will be a little blurry and will not be very pleasant to look at.
๐จ Medium: recommended if you want to draw smaller designs, which require a little more precision. Loading times will be a little longer, but the image quality will be very good.
๐ฉ High: recommended if you simply want to view the Map, and screenshot your great creation. This level of quality may require a long loading time if you do not have a recent and suitable device.

Please, you may have already experienced Reddit's R/place, don't make comparisons with their platform. As you can imagine, Reddit has enormous resources and high quality server equipment. It was difficult to achieve the performance of their r/place for the first version of StampMap, but we will try to get closer to it in potential future versions of the map.

๐ One of the second areas of future development will be the user experience, particularly in the drawing process. Currently, you have to place the pixels one by one, which can be a bit redundant and boring, but we have already thought about tools that would allow the placement and modification of several pixels at the same time to save time. It currently takes 5 seconds to place approximately one pixel.
