~50,000 children a year have a #choking episode in the EU. 🍎🥕 Cutting, grating, mashing, or shredding food to suit your baby or toddler reduces their choking risk and helps them eat safely as they learn. #StartingSolids #FoodSafety

🥩 Your Baby’s Microbiome Deserves REAL Food — Not Processed Fillers ✨ At Carnivore Bar, we believe your baby’s gut flora is one of the most important foundations for lifelong health. A thriving microbiome helps your little one: ✅ absorb nutrients ✅ clear toxins and defend against invaders ✅ build a resilient immune system But here’s the truth most parents were never told… 👇 🥣 Rice cereal — one of the top recommended first foods — is not the ideal next step after breastmilk or formula. Why? Rice cereal was originally pushed because it’s fortified with iron and thought to be low-risk for allergies… ➡️ BUT ⬅️ ❌ Fortified iron can decrease beneficial microbes like bifido bacteria lactobacillus while increasing enterobacteria, which is linked to gut inflammation. ❌ Most fortified iron isn’t absorbed. It passes to the lower bowel undigested and becomes food for pathogens — creating imbalance and discomfort. Your baby deserves better than that. They deserve real, bioavailable nutrients straight from nature — not cereal powders fortified in a factory. 🥩 Meat, liver, bone marrow, poultry, and other animal foods provide iron, minerals, B vitamins, vitamin A, vitamin D, and more — in forms your baby can actually use. 🙅‍♀️ No baby needs rice cereal to thrive. 🙅‍♀️ No baby needs teething crackers or grain-based fillers. ✨ What they do need is nutrient-dense, real food. That’s why families love keeping Carnivore Bars on hand — a clean, shelf-stable, meat-based option you can trust with your baby’s nutritional start (and your own). Perfect for parents who want ancestral simplicity, real ingredients, and zero junk. If you’re a mom starting solids — or restarting because of eczema, allergies, digestive struggles, chronic infections, or failure to thrive — real food can make all the difference. 💬 Comment “CARNIVORE” for the link to order your Carnivore Bars. 💌 @wildnutritionist x @thecarnivorebar #guthealth #realfood #startingsolids #microbiome #babyfood #ancestralnutrition #breastfeedingmom #foodasmedicine #carnivorediet #primalfeeding #nourishedbabies #ancestralhealth

With Halloween approaching, a lot of moms are asking me: How to handle halloween?! To be honest, this our first year really participating and we do plan to trick or treat 😊 When we get home we’re gonna swap all the candy they get door-to-door for their favorite treats and toys! For Auggie this means @thecarnivorebar , local & seasonal fruit like pears, pumpkin pie, homemade Halloween gummies… non-food ideas would work great too! The carnivore bars are our go-to favorite treat, and they have saved us during long travel, cross-country road trips, airplanes and even just times when everyone around us is eating cake. Ingredients are stellar and it’s not just a treat it’s actually more like a nourishing meal! Apple Pie flavor is seriously next level. Very unique and will sell out! (Hopefully to prove that it should become a year-round flavor) 😋 Our Halloween day will be usual with eggs, meat stock, meat and then at night, perhaps a little extra dessert. We got our costumes and decorations second-hand so we can spend all our money on what matters most to us: GOOD FOOD 🥩 (I’m still piecing together me and Adeleis costume) For trick or treaters that come to my door, I’ll be giving away chomps mini beef sticks 😍 🦇What are your Halloween ideas? To purchase the limited drop apple pie carnivore bars, comment APPLE for my link and discount code. 🥧🍎 ❤️ @wildnutritionist #guthealth #startingsolids #microbiome #realfood #microbiomehealth #naturalparenting #babyfood #postpartum #foodasmedicine #breastfeeding #toddler #halloween #candy #toddlermom

Introducing solid foods is an exciting milestone for your baby, usually beginning around 4 to 6 months old. Look for signs of readiness such as sitting up with support, good head control, and interest in food. Start with single-grain cereals, pureed vegetables, and fruits, gradually introducing new foods one at a time. This helps identify any potential allergies or intolerances. We're Dr. Galen, offering online medical consultation to guide you through this important phase in your baby's development.
