The most consequential application of artificial intelligence in the Indian industry may not be in fintech or e-commerce. It may be in a blast furnace of Indian integrated steel plants, predicting silicon content in molten iron 40 minutes before tapping — allowing adjustments that save energy, extend equipment life, and reduce off-spec production. ISA member companies are already deploying AI-based silicon prediction models in blast furnaces, drone-based mineral exploration, fleet management systems for heavy earth-moving machinery, coal blend cost optimisation tools, automated zinc coating control, and real-time stockpile management. These are not pilot projects — they are operational systems being scaled across integrated plants, and ISA takes great pride in the achievements of member companies who have integrated AI in critical operations. ED, Indore Sub-Zonal Office has provisionally attached immovable properties valued at Rs. 10.15 Crore in the form of land, in the name of M/s Ruchi Acroni Industries Ltd., under PMLA, 2002, in the case of M/s Ruchi Acroni Industries Ltd. (now known as M/s Steeltech Resources Ltd.) on 12.02.2026 in a matter related to defrauding UCO Bank, Indore, causing a wrongful loss of more than Rs. 58 Crore.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) Sub-Zonal Office in Indore stated that it had conducted search operations at multiple locations in Indore and Mumbai recently as part of its investigation into bank fraud cases involving the Ruchi Group. The ED initiated its investigation based on multiple FIRs registered by the CBI in Bhopal against Ruchi Group companies—Ruchi Global Ltd. (now Agrotrade Enterprises Ltd.); Ruchi Acroni Industries Ltd. (now Steeltech Resources Ltd.); and RSAL Steel Pvt. Ltd. (now LGB Steel Pvt. Ltd.). Promoted by the late Kailash Chandra Shahra and Umesh Shahra, the companies are alleged to have been involved in various instances of bank fraud through diversion and siphoning of funds, along with other forms of accounting manipulation, thereby causing wrongful losses to several banks.
