Bc stepcode is a failure in many ways. It allows esoteric modeling, bizarre tradeoffs for compliance and can even make a project less efficient than past code mins for those who know how to massage the closed source energy models. Phpp is not allowed to be used.

lol 😂 if anything @CityOfVictoria and all the municipalities are only adding costs and red tape to builders and redevelopment. StepCode is a great example of useless added costs and the rezoning/application time frame of 1yr-18months (same application takes 4 weeks in Langford)

Despite the high cost of lumber, the new house on my block built scaffolding out of new wood, as opposed to.. scaffolding. New housing must cost a fortune with these costs. Not good for affordability. What is #yyj doing to reduce costs and build more housing? #yyjpoli #victoriabc
