Our four #ExmoorPonies are enjoying their new #grazing patch! This area of #StokeCommon hasn't been grazed for a couple of years so there's plenty of grasses, young trees, gorse & broom for them to eat. Please do not feed the ponies – they have delicious food already!

This inkcap is one of several fungi that only grow in livestock dung - just one reason why cow and pony dung is a welcome part of the natural systems on the #naturereserve. Reminder: it is a #criminal offence to collect any #fungi at #Burnham Beeches or #StokeCommon.

Have you seen the new signs at #StokeCommon? They’re newtiful! Did you know the UK has 3 highly protected native species of newt? We know most dogs love the water but newts live in & around the ponds & we need to help them thrive. Please, keep your dogs out of the ponds 🐶
