Strabo: We balked. A lot.

It's said that the Greek historian Strabo once told that a squirrel could cross the Iberian Peninsula north to south just jumping fron tree to tree.

Strabo described how ships leaving Gaul on the evening ebb tide would reach Britain by the eighth hour on the following day. The main Iron age cross-channel routes seem to have been: -between the mouth of the Seine and the Solent -between Brittany and Hengistbury Head (Dorset)
Distribution map of globular cross staters. These thick and convex coins featured a prominent cross in relief. The majority of them were minted between the 2nd and 1st centuries BC by the Senones in Gaul and the Durotriges in Britain.

Greek tales and deceptions. We are tired of Greek lies for 200 years now, since 1832 until today. You can no longer deceive us with these tales of false history about the alleged Hellenes, Ancient Greece, Hellas, other Hellenic influences, beautifully fabricated in the anti-Albanian and anti-Western offices of Moscow, Athens, Sofia and Belgrade and approved by Paris, London and Berlin in return for a reward in extremely large gifts of tons of gold. The Hellenic (Greek) language, in itself, is the language of a church clan and not of a people, or a nation, such as the Albanians. In ancient times, Greece and Ancient Greek History did not exist at all. Even in the Middle Ages, at the time of Gjergj Kastrioti Skanderbeg, there was no Greek state in Greece like our Arbëria, or today's Albania. Greece and Ancient Greek History are a fraud of the modern Greek state, created in 1832 by the Bavarian Kingdom with Prince Otto, Russia, France and Spain (Catalonia). The Greek state has falsified, stolen and distorted the entire history of our ancient Pelasgian-Illyrians (Macedonians, Epirotes, Arvanites, Dardanians, Thracians and others), but also that of the Byzantine Empire. Even in 1808 our Illyrian Peninsula was renamed by these great European anti-Albanian powers, with the influence of Tsarist Russia, in the Balkans. More than 80 percent of the Greek people today are Albanians (Arvanites, Epirotes, Dardanians, Macedonians, Thracians), who have lost their Albanian language, due to violence and terror, speaking Greek, or the Greek language which is the language of a sect (obscurantist-inquisitor) beautifully disguised behind the CHRISTIAN RELIGION and not a national language, such as the Albanian language, or of other peoples and nations. The Greeks are invaders in Illyria coming from Arabia, Russia, North Africa and Catalonia. These invaders, called Greeks, killed and exterminated the ancient Pelasgians, Arvanites, Macedonians, Thracians, Epirotes, Chams of the Albanian province of today's Chameria, with the capital Ioannina. Homer, Strabo, Thucydides and all the ancient historians are Pelasgians who spoke Albanian and not Greek, who openly stated in their writings that the Greek invaders exterminated Pelasgiana and its parts Illyria, Thrace, Phrygia, Arvanitia, Epirus, Chameria, Macedonia and others. In Homer's Iliad even today there are thousands of Albanian words, even though it has been falsified by current Greeks. Read also the Greek encyclopedia volume 19, published in 1933 on page 789 which openly reveals the falsifications of history by the criminal and terrorist Greek state, with the help and blessing of Europe. Alexander the Great, Pyrrhus of Epirus and George Kadtrioti Skanderbeg are three Albanian generals who have no connection with the so-called Greece, Serbia and Bulgaria and with the Greek or Slavic (Serbo-Bulgarian) invaders, who came to Illyria from the steppes of the Urals, the Caucasus and the Carpathians in the 6th-7th and 8th centuries. Alexander the Great himself fought and conquered the then Greek occupiers, while modern Greeks today say that Alexander was Greek. This is madness. Skanderbeg in his time said that he was the king of Arbëria and Epirus. This is the truth and not the false history of Ancient Greece. Today's Greece with its criminal chauvinist state has brought the greatest damage to world history with its falsifications, which are being unmasked every day more and more with evidence, testimony and accurate documents by scientists, historians and researchers of the modern world. The Albanian language was used in the Arvanite (and not Greek) parliament from 1832 to 1904, because out of the 100 heroes of the Arvanite Revolution (now shamefully called the Greek Revolution of 1821), 96 of them were Albanian and not Greek. This is the truth about GREECE, anti-European, anti-American and anti-Western, or the HELLENIC tale, as the barbaric Greco-Roman newcomers, forcibly settled in ILLIRIA, call themselves.

Which again plugs them into Jutland, North Sea, Celtic trade sphere. So why do the Galatians show up south of them with system described by Strabo as the very same interface Boniface discovers the Frisians using almost a thousand years later?

You guys arguing about the Pillars of Hercules need to understand these comments are irrelevant here. The Strait of Gibraltar separating the Mediterranean from the Atlantis was anciently called the Pillars of Hercules, not even questioned historically. Pindar, Herodotus, Plato, Diodorus Siculus, Strabo the geographer, Pomponius Mela, Pliny the Elder, Seneca and the list goes on. Plato wrote that Atlantis was beyond the Pillars of Hercules, which means it was NOT in the Mediterranean but in the Atlantic.

Mao famously wasn't the brightest one. But I would say it's rare to find the communist even today who understands Marx. Ignoring the background in German, French and English thought one would need (as said by Marx himself) it is yet rarer to see anyone have any knowledge of the classical background of Marx. His first academic work (dissertation) compared the thought of pre-socratic atomists (Democritus) and the hellenistic Epicurus. Additionally the Greek and Latin authors (but mainly Greek) are referenced throughout the Marxist corpus, as noted by de Ste. Croix - Aeschylus famously at the start of his dissertation who was also his favourite verse author, but also Herodotus, Thucydides, Strabo, Sophocles, Plutarch etc. Famously in Capital itself Aristotle's elucidation of value in Nicomachean Ethics is used by Marx to illustrate his own Labour Theory of Value which would go on to inspire the basis of communist thought on exploitation, though of course no one (myself included) has ever read Capital so it never comes up.
My favourite though is Mao's anti- kulak campaign in the early 1950s. According to the New York Review of Books, 5 million were killed. But China did not have country squires, country landowners. Because it was not Europe. There were a completely invented social class.

It signifies the territory of the Celts, whereas beyond the Ister (Danube) Strabo describes what he calls “the territories of the Galatic and Germanic tribes.”

Only a part of Gaul was called Celtica, as Strabo explains. Further, Pannonia was outside Celtica.

Almost 1850 BC, the vast Labyrinth at Hawara was constructed. It was described as a vast 3000 chamber maze. In 450 BC, Herodotus visited the site and described it as far more impressive than even the pyramids. The Labyrinth of Hawara is one of the most intriguing lost monuments of the ancient world. Built during the reign of Pharaoh Amenemhat III around 1850 BC, it stood beside his pyramid at Hawara in Egypt's Fayum region. The Greek historian Herodotus visited the site around 450 BC and wrote that it contained 12 roofed courts and 3,000 chambers, half above ground and half below. He claimed that the labyrinth surpassed even the pyramids in scale and complexity. Herodotus was not permitted to enter the underground rooms, which Egyptian priests reportedly said contained the tombs of kings and sacred crocodiles. Another ancient writer, Strabo, described the structure centuries later, suggesting that at least part of it was still standing during the Roman era. By then, however, it had already begun to deteriorate. Most of the stone was quarried away over the centuries, leaving little visible today. In the 1880s, British archaeologist Flinders Petrie excavated the site and identified the foundations of the massive complex, confirming that an enormous building had once stood there. Modern geophysical surveys conducted near Hawara have detected large subsurface anomalies beneath the sands, leading some researchers to speculate that significant portions of the labyrinth's foundations, or possibly additional structures, may still lie buried. Although the legendary 3,000-room maze has never been rediscovered intact, the site remains one of archaeology's most tantalizing mysteries. 📷 : Interpretation of the Egyptian Labyrinth—original by Athanasius Kircher 1670 CE, as described by Herodotus. #archaeohistories
