France is #strawbuilding 👸.
Why?
Public sector has to build with 50% wood or other bio-based materials. In Germany, we don't have limits or regs that reduce emissions to an acceptable level, everything has to be regulated by the market (it doesn't regulate anything).
ALT lime plastered office building, still highest straw bale building in Germany, NZNB Verden, 5 storey.

Heating was dominated by heatpumps, for good reason. Some remnants of the old world still there though.
