Saw a comment on a Substack. 'The Europeans visiting Red America remind me of Boris Yeltsin in the supermarket.' It's a very apt comparison. (For those who don't remember: Bush (IIRC) took the Chairman of the Soviet Union to a supermarket and there's a famous picture of Yeltsin staring at a meat display with his jaw dropped. It was one of the things that led to him realizing the USSR was done and its dissolution.) Perhaps it will have a similar effect when they realize they don't have to live like serfs.
