Harvesting celery is very physically demanding piece rate work. These Ventura County farmworkers are bending up & down all day long. They bend to cut the heart from a bushy plant, stand, cut the top/bottom off, put it on the belt & bend over to move to the next plant. #WeFeedYou

Growers would rather fight the law than sit down with their workers and bargain fair union contracts. Join UFW and NY farm workers as they rally ahead of the preliminary hearing that aims to strip them off their right to organize. Farm workers deserve the union they want! #SupportFarmWorkers #UnionStrong

H-2A workers from Jamaica shared this video with us from NY state where they were working in the apples last month. Most of them were seeing snow for the first time. They shared that they only worked for 2 hours before they were dismissed for the day without pay. #WeFeedYou

Exactly. I was a farm worker. It’s brutal work, yet I had a home In which to live. #SupportFarmworkers #TheyFeedUs #UFW #VoteBlueEveryElection
There are farmers who contract immigrants from Mexico and pay for their housing all over Texas. One in particular does it at the Plainview Labor Camp who puts at least four people in each apartment and contracts from Mexico every single year, transporting them to here. Those people travel sometimes more than 22 hours on a bus to come and work the fields in West Texas, a place that no one wants to work anymore because the wages are too low to support an American family, above the poverty line. These heroes for our agricultural economy show up with a gym bag of clothes. That's it. And that’s all they use through the summer. They work 16 hour days, rushing off the bus that shuffles them back and forth to the laundry just to try to secure a washing machine, to ensure they can wash the clothes to hang dry them on the clothes line while they have supper. The maintenance men in these camps inform us that they just put three twin mattresses on the floor, taking shifts to sleep. Sometimes, they'd get lucky and have a bed frame. Migrant farmers are humans. They are the backbone of our entire agricultural economy. To vilify people for helping us is a different kind of hate.

Rogelio harvests strawberries piece rate in Salinas CA. "It's a tiring job. I rush to harvest as many boxes as possible. My day is bending over & running to get the box to the row's end so they can count it. My body's tired, but this is how I provide for my family." #WeFeedYou
