Few modern events have been subject to so much narrative management as the Epstein case.
But, interestingly, in this hyper-partisan era, it's not generally a partisan narrative that emerges.
"He was very close to Clinton!" & "He was very close to Trump!" have taken second place. (Despite being both true & politically explosive.)
Much more common is for major sections of the Epstein story to simply disappear.
Despite the partisan hay that could be made of Epstein's relations with Clinton or Trump - & other famous Democrats & Republicans - those who could make this hay have been uncharacteristically subdued.
This is presumably because, in each case:
* The relationship with Epstein often serves as a bridge to Israel.
* The relationship is often part of drug & weapons trafficking, & money laundering, by US intelligence.
These aspects are decidedly downplayed - if not ignored - by the major parties & the media.
Threats to entrenched power can usually be identified by the aura of silence that surrounds them.
Or, as Voltaire may or may not have said:
"If you want to know who controls you, look at who you are not allowed to criticize."
