First-year medical students took part in a peer-led cardiac ultrasound session during their cardiovascular physiology course.
After the session:
✅ Knowledge scores rose from 55% → 71%
✅ Final exam performance improved across all levels
✅ Confidence in anatomy, physiology, teamwork, and communication grew
🧠 The session boosted short- and long-term performance, showing the value of early ultrasound education.

Last week Dr Zoe Burke @ Bath Uni ran their first TBL where the AE's were a set of 5 roleplays where one student in each team becomes a patient and the other teammembers are the doctors trying to figure out the diagnosis. It was lots of fun! #TeamBasedLearning#InnovativeTBL
