I’m sure you’ve noticed by now that I often use “us,” “we,” and “our” when talking about our office and our accomplishments. That’s because I couldn’t do what needs to be done without the hard work and dedication of our team — both at the Capitol and in the district. We made it a priority to take care of and be responsive to our residents, stay informed on issues at the Capitol, in #HD115, and at the national level. We showed up for our cities before, during, and after session, and maintained direct lines of communication with our local leaders, nonprofits, chambers, school districts, first responders, and agencies. This team made sure I stayed fed, healthy, informed, and focused — often working well after I had left the House floor into the early hours of the morning. Thank you, Patricia, Fawaz, Maria, Jose, Ella, and our 30 district interns.
