Supporting youth and women is critical in Hedayah’s engagement, meet a proud Hedayah recipient, Ms. Abir Zahra from Tunisia, a speaker from our #Tech2Protect program and the only student at the GCTF side event 'Women as Drivers of Peace & Innovation', she introduced 'We Shield', an innovative app to counter mis/dis information by strengthening students' psychological defense against manipulation & radicalization. On the sidelines of #CTWeek and in conjunction with the Delhi Declaration on countering the use of new and emerging technologies for terrorist purposes, Hedayah outlined how its capacity building programs, including our designed #Tech2Protect program, are not only aligned to the objectives of the #DelhiDeclaration but continue to apply its principles and recommendations. When addressing the misuse of new technologies, it is paramount to develop an implementation strategy that considers the offline phenomenon and the human dimension to effectively prevent the recruitment, incitement, and financing of terrorist acts through the internet.
