While selecting #textiles for a #materialculture #textilelab for one of my classes, I took a moment to capture the view from my window. There was a nice synergy between the mid 18thc #silkbrocade in my hand and the #sunset 🧡

A #mothersclothes: For my #textilelab @unhhistoryclub today, I thought I would share a few #family pieces. Looking through 1870s-1950s, came across this #Victorian #nursing #gown. Behind a beautifully detailed #bib front are 2 carefully placed openings for #nursing (see image 3)
