The award-winning stage prequel Stranger Things: The First Shadow will officially close in London's West End and on Broadway after a successful run that brought the world of Hawkins to life on stage. While the curtains may be closing, fans will still get a chance to experience the production in the future, with a filmed version set to arrive on Netflix.

but in my conclusion I come to, the Mind Flayer is not the First Shadow. The Mind Flayer is not even a shadow, it is just called that because of how it appears.
In the Season 2 script it deliberately states, the Mind Flayer “isn’t a shadow at all.”
Henry is the First Shadow.
