Picked up my work phone to an unknown number and said “Hi, this is Alex” and the Indian call center guy said “Hi ThisIsAlex, I’m calling in regards…”. I instantly hung up and laughed ☠️

Alex has learning difficulties. When his mother died, his panic attacks & anxiety worsened.
His mother had sorted everything: his medication & all the bills. He was evicted & spent the next 2 years sleeping on the streets.
Alex didn’t know how to ask for help.

Alex became a gardener when he retired as a Captain in the Army.
Then Alex’s wife was diagnosed with bowel cancer, and his world crumbled. He lost his home and slept on buses and on the streets.

Alex has a doctorate degree in Art History from a university in London. When her work dried up during the COVID pandemic, she was stuck at home with an abusive partner. She left with nowhere else to go.

She used to live with her mum and seven younger siblings. The house was overcrowded, and Alex’s mum kicked her out.
Alex slept in her car while attending college for architecture.
