Today, we're shining a light on Threads of Life, a vital Canadian charity supporting families shattered by workplace tragedies—fatalities, life-altering injuries, or occupational diseases. Every year in Canada, about 1,000 workers lose their lives on the job, leaving thousands of loved ones to navigate profound grief, emotional turmoil, and financial hardship alone. Threads of Life steps in with compassionate, peer-led support: •One-on-one mentoring from trained volunteer Family Guides who've walked the same path •Online workshops & webinars for practical coping tools and community connection •In-person regional gatherings to build networks and share strategies •Speaker programs reaching over 10,000 people annually to promote prevention Last year alone, 439 families found hope through their forums and workshops, powered by 350 dedicated volunteers.
