Before you head inside, make tick checks part of your routine. ✅
Ticks are tiny, and their bites are often painless, which means they can easily go unnoticed. After spending time outdoors, it’s important to do a full-body tick check from head to toe — especially in warm, hidden areas of the body where ticks love to attach.
Here’s how to tick check correctly:
✔️ Check your hair & scalp
✔️ Look inside and behind your ears
✔️ Check the front & back of your neck
✔️ Inspect armpits, arms, and fingers
✔️ Check your back, stomach & belly button
✔️ Look around the groin area
✔️ Check behind knees and between toes
💡 Remember:
• Ticks crawl — they do NOT jump or fly
• Feel for small bumps or dark spots
• Remove ticks properly and save them for testing if possible
• Watch for symptoms like rash, fever, fatigue, or flu-like illness in the weeks following a bite
