■ NEURALINK: N/A...
■ STARLINK:
📷
- The Blue Origin landing vessel Jacklyn was spotted by NSF (
@NASASpaceflight) as it left Port Canaveral for the debut launch of New Glenn. Closeups revealed that Blue Origin will be using Starlink aaord the new vessel... at least until Kuiper is in place... right?
- According to Bloomberg, SpaceX and Italy's Defense Ministry is in talks for a 1.5 billion euro ($1.55 billion) 5 year Starlink contract. Starlink is to supply Italy with encryption for telephone and Internet services, communications for Italy's military in Mediterranean areas, and satellite services in Italy for use in emergencies and natural disasters. Bloomberg says approval has been given by both Italy's Intelligence Services and Defense Ministry.
This has not been confirmed by SpaceX. And during her visit with Donald Trump this weekend, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni's office dodged the question and said, "SpaceX was a topic during the meeting with U.S. President-elect Donald Trump."
This morning, Elon did reply to an Andrea Stroppa (
@andst7) post saying, "Ready to provide Italy the most secure and advanced connectivity!"
📷
- Fason Lee Menard's office on 9 wooded acres covered in snow and ice. "That frozen-over Starlink satellite makes my remote work possible."
- Pakistani Minister of State for Information Technology and Telecommunication, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, has confirmed today that Starlink has registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP). The IT minister responded to queries regarding the status of Starlink’s entry by saying, "It is registered, and the licensing is in process."

- Latest Starlink Maritime by telecom Marian BİLİŞİM of Istanbul, Turkey.
- On Sunday, United Airlines said testing of Starlink will begin in February for in-flight internet services on a commercial flight by an Embraer E-175 aircraft. United plans to have its two-cabin regional fleet equipped by the end of 2025. Of note, United has taken back an earlier promise that everyone will have access for free, stating only MileagePlus members will get it at no cost.
📷
- Alfan R Kasdar, Field Director at AtmaConnect, was in Ciengang Village, Sukabumi, West Java, Indonesia, where he and his team set up Starlink after a sudden landslide. "Before internet installation, communication and disaster reporting were nearly impossible in this blank spot. Now, with Starlink, residents can contact family, report emergencies, and even fundraise for aid via social media." Sukabumi Regency in Indonesia was struck by a series of devastating natural disasters, including floods, land movements, landslides, and strong winds. The disasters claimed the lives of 12 people, with many others displaced from their homes.
■ X:
- X is working on a News Tab powered by Grok and based on X trends.
- Elon has stated an "Algorithm tweak" is coming to promote more informational and entertaining content. Changes will be publish to the X Engineering (
@engineering) account. "Our goal is to maximize unregretted user-seconds. Too much negativity is being pushed that technically grows user time, but not unregretted user time." I really hope this enhances X Articles reach.
📷
- X accounts of journalists who doxxed Adrian Dittmann's (
@AdrianDittmann) real-life identity were suspended for 30 days. All posts linking to articles that revealed his identity have been removed. Adrian had been wrongly accused of being an alternate account for Elon due to similarities in their voices and speech patterns. As shown in the screenshot, both Elon and Adrian often played along with these accusations for laughs on the platform. Nonetheless, X enforced its anti-doxxing policy.
- Per Elon, "We should show banger replies in the main timeline." Keep an eye for this change.
■ xAI:
- Grok 3 pre-training is now complete with 10X more compute than Grok 2.
- Grok .com is now live in India.
- xAI has added questions to X post on trending topics to save you from typing questions yourself.
- Tesla's Yun-Ta Tsai (@YunTaTsai1) posted that Grok should have a feature that aligns congress members to their voting records vs their social media posts and videos. "So that I could match their actual voting vs what they said." Elon replied, "Good idea."
■ ELON NEWS:
- Elon has restricted his post replies to verified users only and those mentioned. He claims this will significantly reduce spam and improve comment quality. He suggested other verified users do the same.
I have said this many times, there needs to be a Verified Subscribers option. Many subscribers are not verified users.
